For the first time, three women - mother, sister, and daughter - are running for the Arizona Legislature. Each bring essential experience and has deep roots as longtime residents of Legislative District 6. Together, they have lived in and traveled throughout the largest legislative district in Arizona.

Jamescita Peshlakai has a distinguished record of public service, including one term as a State House Representative and two terms in the State Senate. She served as the tribal liaison for the U.S. Department of the Interior under President Biden and, in 2025, was appointed by Governor Hobbs to the Arizona State Transportation Board.
Angela Maloney has dedicated her entire career to public service. She has worked with Indian Health Services, the Arizona State Welfare Department, Bureau of Indian Affairs, and Tuba City Medical Center.
Representative Mae Peshlakai is seeking a third term in the State House. Overcoming her experience as a federal boarding school survivor, she has become an internationally celebrated artist and a revered elder dedicated to preserving and sharing Indigenous knowledge.
